Waste Connections of Tennessee, Inc. takes pride in servicing our customers. Waste Connections locked into $3.05 per gallon for fuel for the 2009 year. This was done in September 2008 when diesel fuel prices were $3.28 per gallon. This fuel price that we have locked into will be firm for the year of 2009. Because we locked into this rate, the fuel surcharge will remain the same for all of 2009 regardless of the fuel cost increases.
