Remove Unneeded Meds from Home

Waste Connection of Tennessee, Knoxville, urges everyone to help address the needless prescription drug abuses by removing the home medicine cabinet of unnecessary prescription medications.

Studies have shown a majority of prescription drug abusers get their drugs from friends and family, often taking the drugs right out of the medicine cabinet.

It’s important, however, you don’t dispose of old medications and drugs in the sewer or in the garbage can – both of those disposal methods can lead to accidental exposure, contaminated water, or intentional misuse.

Below you will learn about two types of drop off locations:

  1. Year round drop off locations
  2. Special April 28 drop off locations from 10AM to 2PM

YEAR ROUND: Controlled Substance Public Disposal Locations
